
Donté McGuire, PhD, serves as a Senior Project Director at HigherEd Insight, where he leads research and evaluation efforts focused on workforce development, institutional change, adult learners, and student success and well-being. His approach is grounded in collaboration, genuine curiosity, and a deep appreciation for both research scholarship and practitioner knowledge. In addition to his research leadership, Donté regularly facilitates group meetings and partners with clients in research-backed program and initiative design that centers community engagement and input.
Donté brings a wide range of experience across educational contexts, including international education, high school re-entry and completion, college access, residence life and housing, program evaluation, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. His scholarship explores themes of educational access and success for marginalized groups, cross-cultural education and understanding, and culturally competent leadership.
He earned his PhD in Higher Education from the University of Maryland, his MEd in Higher Education Administration from North Carolina State University, and his BA in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Wake Forest University.
